Why focus on Education?

The FIRST verse that was sent by Allah to earth, to enlighten us, make us knowledgeable and to make us pure:   

[Quran: 096.001 to 096.005] Read in the name of your Lord Who created. He created man from a clot. Read and your Lord is Most Honorable, He Who taught (the use of) the pen,- Taught man that which he knew not.   

Can there be any doubt about the rewards associated with reading (educating yourself) and making others read (educating others)?

HANDS: Would you lend yours to train or educate the community?

O my Lord ! increase me in knowledge. 

By no means shall you attain al-birr (righteousness) until you spend (in Allah’s cause) of that which you love [Aal ‘Imraan 3:92]
